The Origin of the Copasetics Connection

    September 5, 2003

We, LeRoy Myers, Henry "Phace" Roberts, and Ernest "Brownie" Brown, are the last remaining members of the Copasetics, a club formed in 1949 to perpetuate the name of the world famous tap dancer, Bill "Bojangles" Robinson.

We have chosen the following talented tap dancers to carry on this great art form. This group will be operating under the heading of "The Copasetics Connection." They will have, made available by us, tapes and information about the many artists who have contributed to this art form over the years, and will become responsible for the role the original Copasetics have played in the past.

The following are the names of "The Copastics Connection"

    • Savion Glover - President
    • David Gilmore - Senior Vice President
    • Hank Smith - Chairman
    • Toes Tiranoff
    • Jun Maruta - Historian
    • Andrew Nemr - Business Manager
    • Jason Samuels - Vice President
    • Laura Scariano
    • Michael O. Shannon
    • Cory Hutchins
    • Michela Lerman
    • Megan Haungs
    • Dr. Jimmie Slyde - Honorary Consultant
